We grew up here. Eating Ukranian food while our German bus driver conveyed us to a small-town classroom headed by a French teacher. We grew up alongside Indigenous and Métis families, playing hockey and baseball with them. We know the last names, spellings, and the local lore. This is home, and we love the people here. We cannot imagine a better place to dig into our collective stories.
